Register to run the CIGNA Falmouth Road Race
to support Compassionate Care ALS
You can participate as a runner, a team leader, or team member. You do not have to run the race
to help us raise funds or lead a team. All you need is the motivation to support Compassionate
Care ALS in our fundraising efforts! All teams are named in honor or in memory of someone who
has been touched by ALS.
All runners begin in blue; challenge yourself to think of creative fundraising techniques as soon as possible in order to graduate to bronze, silver, and gold!
All runners will get a bronze certificate of achievement from CCALS and change to bronze on the site after raising $1,030.
Runners that raise over $2,500 will get a silver certificate of achievement from CCALS and change to silver on the site.
Runners that raise over $5,000 will get a gold certificate of achievement from CCALS and change to gold on the site.

Fundraising Tips
There are many ways to reach out to your community to raise funds for CCALS. Many people raise much more than the minimum. Raising money does not need to be daunting. If you believe in the cause, it is easy to approach people and ask them for their support. Here are six simple ways to raise money for CCALS and to help your Falmouth team to be among our top earners:
-
For individual support, send an email request to all of your friends and family, speak with your neighbors and work colleagues, and reach out to your community, whether
at your children's school, your place of worship, or other places where you spend time. Click here to see our Fundraising Resources guide.
-
While individual contributions are great, consider embarking on a workplace or community challenge to generate broader ranging support. Ask your company to match any
amount raised by employees. Organize interoffice challenges to see which department can raise the most money. At school, explore the possibility of a school-wide
fundraising challenge or a friendly classroom competition.
-
Organize a neighborhood yard sale where the proceeds are donated to your CCALS team. If not a yard sale, then perhaps a neighborhood bake sale or wine and cheese
tasting.
-
Organize a community service event, such as a car wash, or put together a team of volunteers that provide other valuable community services, like dog walking, lawn
mowing, snow plowing, or yard work.
-
Host a fundraiser for neighbors, friends and family in support of your CCALS Falmouth team. It can be as simple as chips, pretzels and goldfish with a cash bar and
silent and live auction. See how Doug Oakley & his community did it last year. Get people excited
about the possibility of becoming this year's number one earning team, while helping CCALS to be the event's top earning charity.
-
For ambitious community fundraisers, find a local restaurant or facility to host a community event, assemble a team of volunteers and organize a raffle
and/or auction. Solicit donations from local businesses and sell tickets at the door, all while raising awareness and funds for CCALS and your Falmouth team.
