For the past eight years Compassionate Care ALS has
raised a significant portion of its annual income through a partnership with the Falmouth Road Race. We have done
this with the help of more than 100 different runners and countless more team leaders and team members. Last year
our Falmouth teams brought in over $122,000 making us the top-earning charity of the 2007 Falmouth Road Race.
Those funds provide direct services and durable goods for ALS patients, their families and their caregivers.
In 2008, our goal is to raise $200,000 and to be the top-earning charity of the Falmouth Road Race.
Confirming and Picking Up Numbers
Compassionate Care ALS runners register and receive numbers through our organization, not the Falmouth Road Race
headquarters. As a result, and because we have limited numbers, you need confirmation from our office to know if
your number is secure. We can confirm your spot once we receive a signed
Registration Form and a deposit for $120.
Confirmed Compassionate Care ALS runners can pick up their numbers on Friday, August 8 from noon to 7:00 pm or
on Saturday, August 9 from noon to 7:00 pm at
752 West Falmouth Highway in West Falmouth.
Day of the Race
WHEN: Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 - 10:00 AM Buses to the race’s start are available at Lawrence School in
Falmouth. For more information about race logistics or for the race route, visit the official race site
at www.falmouthroadrace.com.
Post-Race Gathering
We invite all runners and Compassionate Care ALS Falmouth Road Race team participants and supporters to join us at
Highfield Hall in West Falmouth for a gathering immediately following the 2008 Falmouth Road Race.
